AVCHD to HD for Premiere Pro CS3?

I have Premiere pro cs3 and Sony Vegas Pro 8, so what settings would be best for conversion from AVCHD to HD in Vegas so i can edit in Premiere? I have the Sony HDR-SR7 camcorder

I usually use the Mpeg-2 codec to get it from Vegas to Premiere. Make sure you set it to the correct resolution (I think it’s like 60i Sony or something weird like that, but I could be wrong).

It sucks that Premiere CS 3 doesn’t support AVCHD.

You’d need Vegas to export to HDV, or MPEG2 HD. HDV would be a lot faster in Premiere.

Doesn’t Premiere Pro import AVCHD? Might need the proper codec installed.
I haven’t moved, still at Premiere Pro 2, and don’t work with AVCHD.
I wish I could be of more assistance.
