can I use my camcorder and record parts of a vampire weekend concert?

I'm attending a vampire weekend concert this thursday at the riviera theater in chicago, and I just wanted to know if I could record parts of it with my camcorder. I've heard from some people that it is illegal, and others say it is not. I have a sony HD camcorder, it's pretty small.

    Vampires don’t show reflections in mirrors. They shouldn’t show up on camcorders either.

    I Once went to an All Time Low concert and recorded it, and people saw me and didn’t say anything. So I think it is okay. As long as you don’t sell it to other people for money because that is the part people are saying Is illegal. That or if they specifically say don’t record this. Then it would be wrong.
