Canon VIXIA HG20 – Great choice, or Waste of Money ?

I consider my video recording needs to be "semi-pro". But as a college freshman, I am living on a budget. I have researched a lot over the last two days, and pretty convinced that hg20 beats any other HD camcorder in the 0 - 0 range. I am just asking for the final word from yahoo users who has experience with this camcorder.
