Does the Sony HVR-A1U HD Camcorder work with Mac?

and Final Cut Pro? Does it have Firewire capabilities?

    I don’t think it does with ease. I think it’s USB and relies on using Vegas + DVD which is a Sony product

    Final cut pro may work with it. Maybe if you rename the files to MPG.

    You have to experiment.

    I know anything other than a Mini-DV is a pain to transfer and edit.
