Easiest Film Editor for Mac?

I have to shoot a video for my photography class project and was wondering what is the most user friendly editing program? I have no editing experience, so I am not looking for top notch stuff. However, I would like to add intros/credits and what not. I have iMovie HD and iDVD that came with my MacBook, would those work. Also, I have a Canon Elura 100 DV Camcorder (Mac Compatible). Finally, what cord would I need to plug in the laptop? I know this is a lot of questions, anything would be great! Thanks.

iMovie is about as simple as it gets, and Apple has full tutorials at http://www.apple.com/imovie

If you have some money and want more power, Adobe Premiere Elements costs about $90 and can pretty much do anything you’ll ever need to do in film editing (unless you need to do green screens and the like, that is).

Your camera should have come with a cord to connect to your Mac. According to CNet, you can use either Firewire or USB.
