How to I transfer video on a mini DV to my computer without my camcorder?

My camcorder just died and my new one is an HD, hard drive based camcorder so I am left with all my old tapes and no way to play them. I want to transition all the video to my hard drive but don't want to buy a new camera. I am looking for a service that will do all my tapes or a simple device to interface with my PC. Help please!!

    StashSpace offers a video transfer services. Costs $7 a tape for the transfer and they can put it online for you to edit, onto a portable hard drive, or direct to DVD.
