Panasonic SD-9 or Canon Vixia HF 100?

I am in the market for an HD camcorder and I have shortlisted these 2 camcorders. Which one would you recommend? I am totally new to the world of camcorders and my shortlist is based on online reviews. Sell me the right one please!
