Should I buy a Sony HDR-CX100 or save some money and buy a Sanyo Xacti VPC-E2 to record my baby's 1st years?

I've never owned a camcorder before. My 1st child is on the way and I want to use my AMEX rewards points to get a camcorder. I could either get the Sony or both a Sanyo and a Garmin 265wt GPS. Both are good camcorders. 1 is HD and the other is SD.

    you wanna see all that good stuff in HD! but sony is way too overpriced. i would recommend the new line of canon HD cams.. vixia. or the canon HV20 is a great choice.
