What Camcorder should I get?

I'm looking for a camcorder to film action and stunts in HD. My price range is around 1.2k. I'd go a bit higher if someone could convince me that I should. I have been looking at JVC's GZ-HD7 and Sony's HDR-SR12. I've been reading reviews that state JVC's OIS isn't that great and Sony's AVCHD is sub par. Can someone help me out? By the way I will be editing all my clips in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4.

    The Canon HV30 is supposed to have better quality than some of the more expensive cameras. I’ve used one and had great results with premiere pro 1.5.

    Sony HDR-SR11 (or 12, the only difference between the two is storage, and you can record 7 hours on the SR11) it would be good for stunts because of the build in hi shutter speed slow motion, or high quality slow motion, the is preslowed down so it isn’t jumpy, if you slow it down afterward it won’t be as smooth. Also build in camera, and small and durable

    Also I wouldn’t get a cannon, I see no point in getting a weapon to film on, but Canon cameras are pretty good.
