What's the biggest differences between an HD camera video and an HD Camcorder video?

I am interested in doing professional videos, but how far has camera video HD come? Are the video sizes always smaller like they used to be? If I am going to edit in Adobe Premire should I go camcorder?
KEY WORDS --- CAMERA-- VS ---CAMCORDER.....they are two different things

If you want to shoot professional videos, you should use a video camera. There are hundreds of HD video cameras on the market, but I’ve found that the Sony HVR-A1U is both affordable and high quality. It offers a lot of functionality while not breaking the bank.

Most camcorders shoot in HDV. It is not true HD. Its is 1440X1080. True HD video is 1920X1080 25FPS, 48KHz. A true HD camera or camcorder will cost you a lot more than HDV. Also, you will need a computer that is powerful enough to handle HD video. You need to think about your audience and your mode of delivery (web, tv, dvd, blu-ray, etc.)
